I, DR. SUNITA AGARWAL have for a lifetime been associated with the world of ophthalmology and
have dedicated my life to the research and development of my specialty field of medicine- eye care. Born into a family of eye surgeons I am a third generation eye surgeon with my parent both my father and mother Dr. J.Agarwal and Dr. Mrs. Tahira Agarwal alongside both their fathers were also associated with the world of eye surgery Dr. R.S.AGARWAL on my fathers side and Dr. MOHAMMAD UMMAR on my mothers side. My husband PANKAJ SONDHI who is a biomedical engineer and tackles all my instrumentation inside and outside the operation theater assists me in all my work.
I completed my basic medical degree with a gold medal from Madras University and continued my further studies at Gujarat University where I was awarded a gold medal for my post graduate studies in ophthalmology. In between these two courses and after my M.S, I worked and studied for many years in deferent countries where I picked up fellowships from these nations, Germany, UK, and USA.
